I’m excited to announce that my old Random Curiosity comrade and fellow expat (Scotland to London for him, U.S.A. to Kyoto for me) Samu and I are starting a new podcast series, “My Taste is Better Than Yours”! The theme will be – you guess it – manga. We’ll cover series we both read, along with personal favorites we recommend to the other. We’ll also talk about important trends in manga and anime and other general manga and anime topics.
Obviously, growing LiA’s presence through YouTube (and eventually other podcast outlets, hopefully) is a big part of the long-term plan to help the site flourish. As such, I was excited when Samu proposed this series to me. He knows a hell of a lot about manga, and he has that cute accent to boot – it’s a win-win.
The first episode introduces Samu to the LiA audience and both of us to everyone else. Our first episode goes live tomorrow with Samu’s favorite manga, with mine to follow a week later. Ongoing, the plan is to release a new podcast bi-weekly on Mondays. I hope you enjoy this new venture for LiA and the LiA YouTube channel – please share your comments here or on the YouTube page.
