You may have seen some exclusive bling on head coach Pep Guardiola‘s wrist last night. The Spaniard boss wore an uber-rare Richard Mille watch on the sidelines at the Bernabeu.
The timepiece, known as a Calibre RM27-01, is worth approximately $1.3 million and is one of only fifty versions worldwide.
At 19 grams, it’s been touted as the lightest mechanical watch ever. And that weight includes the strap. Mille specifically tailored it for tennis sensation Rafael Nadal.

The high-end watch design includes a special suspension system similar to that used in suspension bridges. The watch’s inner workings are held in place by four thin steel cables, each only 0.35mm wide, which are tightly secured to keep everything stable. The manual-winding watch has yellow markers for hours and minutes and a red-tipped hand to show the time.
Guardiola is a big fan of luxury watches, with an envious collection that includes the $70,000 Patek Philippe Annual Calendar Chronograph 5905P. Some of his players, notably Erling Haaland, also have excellent choices in high-end watches.
Guardiola has never been shy about revealing his good fashion taste. After all, he modeled for designer Antonio Miro at a fashion show in the mid-1990s.
Real Madrid and City go into next week’s second leg at the Etihad 3-3 on aggregate.
