The updated 2025 Kia EV6 has been revealed in South Korea, previewing the changes expected for the US market EV6 as well.
Outside, the updated 2025 Kia EV6’s most significant visual change is a revised front with completely new headlights that feature expressive light pipe DRLs in line with Kia’s newer EV designs, as well as a new front bumper with more angular detailing. The sides and back are largely the same, with the rear taillights receiving a subtle update with simplified detailing and, again, a new, more angular rear bumper—updated wheels, including a unique four-spoke design, round out the EV6’s exterior changes.
Inside, the 2025 Kia EV6 also sees some meaningful changes. These include a new curved glass panoramic cockpit that features two color displays, one for the driver and one for the central infotainment system mounted side-by-side, subtly curved toward the driver. This infotainment system will now support wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and buyers will find an updated head-up display as well as augmented reality navigation as options.
The 2025 Kia EV6 will also get an updated steering wheel design that retains the current two-spoke arrangement but updates it with new buttons and detailing, as well as the addition of a fingerprint reader that will allow buyers to drive their EV6 without the key.
The outgoing version’s 77.4 kWh battery pack will be replaced by a larger 84 kWh unit capable of up to 307 miles on a charge with the 19-inch wheels, up from the 295-mile rating of the previous battery pack. This new, larger battery also supports 350 kW DC fast charging speeds and can go from 10 – 80% state of charge in a scant 18 minutes.
RWD versions will produce 225 hp and 258 lb-ft of torque, with dual-motor AWD versions capable of an impressive 320 hp and 446 lb-ft of torque. Kia has also modified the new EV6’s dampers for improved ride comfort.
Though only currently official for the South Korean market, we expect most of these changes to make their way to the updated 2025 Kia EV6 as well. We should learn more about that, including official US range and pricing information, in the near future.
