Toyota detailed the 2024 Crown Sport earlier today, but that wasn’t the only news the company had up their sleeve.
Quite the opposite as the automaker announced plans for five flagship dealerships in Japan. They’re being billed as “Crown brand bases and all-model showrooms” that will promote and support everything Crown. This is important as the lineup will grow in the coming months as the Crown Sport Hybrid will be launched around November and be followed by a plug-in hybrid variant shortly thereafter.
Fans can also look forward to a Crown Sedan, which is slated to arrive around November. A Crown Estate will then arrive in 2024 and be a crossover rather than a traditional wagon.

The flagship dealerships will have all Crown models on display and available for test drives. They’ll also have a “design that expresses the worldview of the Crown brand.” That’s a little vague, but a rendering depicts a clean and minimalist dealership with an open showroom featuring lots of natural light. Dealers are also slated to have an “exclusive lounge area” as well as “networking events for owners.”
To reflect their flagship status, the dealerships will offer exclusive special editions. The first is slated to arrive this December, although the exact timing hasn’t been finalized yet. Regardless, the special edition will be based on the Crown Crossover RS Advanced and feature “exclusive matte metal body colors and other special features.”
The company didn’t go into many specifics, but they released a picture showing a Crown with a matte black paint job, gloss black accents, and black wheels. The model also has chrome trim and Crown badging.
We’ll learn more closer to launch, but the standard Crown Crossover RS Advanced costs ¥6,400,000 ($42,862) and is the range-topping variant. As such, it comes nicely equipped with 21-inch wheels and a two-tone leather interior that sports a heated steering wheel, a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, and a 12.3-inch infotainment system. The all-wheel drive model also has a hybridized powertrain that consists of a turbocharged 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine and a rear eAxle. This gives the lifted sedan a combined output of 345 hp (257 kW / 349 PS).
