Once Mikari comes to see Liliel/Ririsa as a threat for Masamune’s affections, she throws herself into the role of Miriella, the demon foil for Liliel’s angel. Ririsa whips up two new costumes in a single night (sleeping during the next day’s classes to make up for the all-nighter she pulls) and … they’re quite revealing. But the bottom line is, Mika likes the way Masamune reacts to her costume and her poses, even if he’s also reacting that way to Liliel.
Masamune spends the whole shoot trying to channel Lord Ashford and not get aroused by the sights before him (like the girls placing their hands on each other’s boobs), but unlike Ashford is altogether unsuccessful, leading to the requisite blood fountains.
This is relatively understandable; I mean, he’s in high school, and he has to help Mika and Riri get unstuck by basically unclasping their chestpieces. That said, he’s also glad Mika dressed up because the shoot was a lot of fun, and it was fun for Mika too, because it allowed her access to the world he loves so much.
Unfortunately, due to Mika’s modeling contract, they can’t use any of the awesome photos they took for a cosrom. But there are enough photos of just Liliel that Ririsa to make a cosrom for the next cosplay festival, for which she’s reserved a spot. When the tight deadline is an issue, Masamune insists on helping her, even if it means sneaking around after school and avoiding the night watchman (which I guess is a thing at some schools? seems like more of a museum thing).
It’s during this all-nighter that Ririsa starts to realize how Masamune is starting to make her feel differently than she’s ever felt before. When he vows to keep his promise to support her and have her back, and gets physically close to her when the watchman stops by … let’s just say Mikari doesn’t have the monopoly on feelings for the goofy and cringey but surprisingly dependable otaku boy.
