Dazai goes to another world and keeps trying to kill himself.
I surprisingly didn’t hate this. One of the better isekai this season. It takes a very different approach with the main character having zero interest in fighting or saving the world and just wanting to record people’s stories and try and fail to end his own suffering while all the more typical isekai characters react to him.
Some of the short stories were decent, but what makes it interesting is Dazai’s character. Not great or anything but competently done.
- Storytelling – C – It works but not great. It’s all suicide jokes…
- Voice – B – Dazai is unique.
- Characters – C – Everyone aside from the main character is forgettable.
- Attention Grab – C – I finished.
- Production – B – Looks fine.
- Overall – C+
