It was announced that the Black Butler: Emerald Witch Arc anime will begin airing from April 2025.
The teaser visual, new character art and new cast were unveiled at the event “Black Butler: Public School Arc AFTER the MIDNIGHT TEA PARTY ~A Return to Weston College~ on December 8th.
Rie Kugimiya will play Sieglinde Sullivan.
Chikahiro Kobayashi will play Wolfram Gelzer.
Originally a manga by Yana Toboso, Black Butler follows Ciel Phantomhive, a teenage aristocrat whose well-known family solves high-profile crimes. Ciel works with his butler, Sebastian Michaelis, who is actually a demon that has made a pact with the boy: he’ll be more than happy to help find those who murdered Ciel’s parents… in exchange for his soul, of course.
The TV anime adaptation began in 2008 with second and third seasons airing in 2010 and 2014. It continued with a two-part OVA, Book of Murder, in 2014 and a film, Book of the Atlantic, in 2017. Season 4 aired in 2024.
