Volkswagen was set to release its next EV, the ID.7 sedan in North America, but now it’s decided to change those plans. VW has now decided to not sell the ID.7 in the US or Canada, according to a new report.
Automotive News has reported that te VW ID.7 will not be added to VW’s lineup in North America. VW unveiled the ID.7 in 2023, but it then announced in May 2024 that the sedan had been delayed without any official details when it would go on sale in North America. Last year VW said, “As market dynamics continue to change, Volkswagen is delaying the introduction of the ID.7 sedan in the U.S. and Canada.”
Less than a year later, those plans have been canceled.
