Tata Motors recently unveiled the all-new 2023 Harrier facelift. The model has created a huge buzz in the country with its new looks and features. This has made a lot of people wonder what are the differences between the old and new Harrier. So if you are one of those individuals, then you have come to the right place.
Old vs New Harrier: Front
Starting at the front, differences between the outgoing and the new Tata Harrier facelift, we can immediately note that they are huge. The entire front fascia of the Harrier has been reworked, and it now boasts a much more futuristic-looking design. The old Harrier has a smaller top grille; however, the new one gets a much larger grille. The new grille gets a ton of chrome elements, and this time around the grille pattern is repeated on the lower section of the bumper as well.

With the facelifted Harrier, the company has now also connected the LED DRLs of the split headlamp design. Also, the actual main headlamps have also been given LED units and sit in much smaller housings. The old headlight housings were massive on the Harrier. The new car also gets all-LED fog lamps as well. The front bumper of the car has also been made a lot more aggressive.
Old vs New Harrier: Side
Moving on to the side profile of the new Harrier vs the old one, not much has been changed this time around in this mid-size SUV. The new Harrier facelift only gets a new design for the alloy wheels, and the size of these alloy wheels is now 19 inches. Apart from this, another small change in the new Harrier is that it now gets a Harrier badge on the front door, which the old one missed out on. The rest of the side profile is more or less the same as before.
Old vs New Harrier: Rear
Next up on the differences is the rear design of the Harrier. For the 2023 facelift, Tata Motors has given the new Harrier a brand new design for the LED taillights. This time the Harrier gets a new Z-shape for the taillamps, and another major highlight is the connected LED light in the middle. The rear bumper has been fully revised as well. This time the bumper has been given a silver skid plate to highlight the sporty nature of this mid-size SUV.
Old vs New Harrier: Interior
One of the biggest changes in the new Harrier facelift over the old model is on the inside. Although the basic layout of the interior is identical to the old car, almost everything has been made and replaced by a better element. The main highlight of this new interior is the brand-new 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system, which is much larger than the old 10.25-inch system. Additionally, the new Harrier has also been given an all-new 10.25-inch digital instrument gauge cluster.
Also, right in front of the new gauge cluster is the four-spoke steering wheel, which now gets an illuminated Tata logo in the middle. The buttons on the steering wheel have also been made a lot more modern. The Fearless variant, which is the top-spec trim of the new Harrier, also gets a sporty yellow-colored theme for the interior. The new Harrier also gets a new bejeweled rotary dial for drive mode selection.
Features
Apart from the interior design updates, the new Harrier has also been equipped with a ton of new features. The list of these features includes 10 speakers from JBL, voice assistant including Amazon Alexa, connected vehicle technology with IRA 2.0, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, new smart e-shifter, wireless charger, and smart 45W Type-C charger, electronic parking brake with auto-hold function.
Other features on the new Harrier include a 6-way powered ventilated driver’s seat with memory function, a 4-way powered and ventilated co-driver’s seat, dual-zone climate control, a 360-degree camera, front and rear parking sensors, winged headrests, air purifier, rain-sensing wipers, and a front armrest with cooled storage.
