2017’s American Made has a unique approach to the crime and action genres, but luckily, already Netflix has the perfect show in its arsenal to watch next. Based on the true story of the Medellín Cartel, American Made follows Tom Cruise’s Barry Seal, a former TWA pilot that turns into a drug smuggler during the 1980s. In an effort to avoid jail time for his illegal activities, Seal becomes an informant for the DEA. Once the cartel gets wind of Seal’s double agent status, they turn on him, which eventually leads to his downfall in American Made's ending.
