Mattel and artist Daniel Arsham have collaborated to create eight 1:64-scale die-cast Hot Wheels cars that will be available starting on October 27, 2023. The first pair includes an eroded version of the Hot Wheels Rodger Dodger, a famous (and valuable) 1973 Dodge Charger SE with a cartoonish engine and blower on the hood that was manufactured from 1974-1979 and a Porsche 930 Turbo. The pair are designed for collectors and are available with an eroded version of the Hot Wheels Super Rally Case that has room for all eight of the Arsham Hot Wheels collector cars. The first set of vehicles will be debuted at a gallery event at 45 Grand Street in New York City on October 21-22, 2023. The remaining six cars will be debuted later.

Daniel Arsham is a New York artist who is know for his depictions of eroded modern artifacts and use of unique colors and materials to showcase machines, artifacts, and human figures. His art is often crafted from sand, selenite, and volcanic ash. For the Hot Wheels collaboration, Arsham chose Silkstone, a composite developed with Mattel to create a porcelain appearance that can be seen in the premium Barbie Doll line. The collection will also include keychains, stickers and a limited number of prints.
