After three years and over 8,500 hours invested, this one-off quad cab 1956 Ford pickup is sitting pretty, just in time for SEMA 2023.

Built by Classic Car Studio in St. Louis, Missouri, the custom classic truck has come a long way from its single-family farm truck days. It is stuffed full of top-of-the-line parts and materials and features thoughtful fabrication throughout.
First, the team built the frame to accommodate a Porterbuilt Mustang II-style front suspension and a rear four-link to support the narrowed 14-bolt rear end. The truck drives on AccuAir suspension with GoodYear airbags on all four corners. The system is ride height adjustable with three programmable auto-adjusting options.
Everything from the roof to the rocker panels, bedsides, beautiful bed floor, and the internal-latching tailgate was hand-built. The truck’s grille, valances, steel firewall and radiator cover panel are all custom, and the cab was stretched and reinforced to accommodate rear suicide doors. To achieve a show truck-level paint finish, the Classic Car Studio steam sanded the clear coat with 8,000 grit paper, then polished and buffed to reveal the mirror-like shine.
A peek inside reveals a completely custom interior with a hand-built steel dash and center console, plus handmade door panels, seats, and headliner upholstered in Relicate leather. The driver grips a Sparks Billet steering wheel and is guided by Dakota Digital gauges. Zebra wood inlays placed throughout the cabin enhance the look.
D&J Precision Machine built the monster twin-turbo 24-valve diesel engine that powers the pickup, which offers over 1000-horsepower. We can’t deliver the “new build smell” via article text, but the custom Ford truck can be seen in-person at SEMA this fall.
