The Houston Rockets are trading Kevin Porter Jr. and two future second-round picks to the Oklahoma City Thunder for Victor Oladipo and Jeremiah Robinson-Earl, according to NBA insider Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN.
The Thunder are waiving Porter Jr., who is facing assault charges based on an incident with a girlfriend. Porter Jr. appeared in 59 games for the Rockets last season. He averaged 19.2 points, 5.3 rebounds and 5.7 assists while shooting 44.2% from the field, 36.6% from beyond the arc and 78.4% from the free-throw line. The lefty recorded nine double-doubles and one triple-double.
The 23-year-old Porter Jr. has career NBA averages of 15.3 points, 4.3 rebounds and 5.0 assists with the Cleveland Cavaliers and Rockets. He signed a four-year, $63.4 million rookie-scale extension with Houston in October 2022.

Oladipo played 20 games for the Rockets during the 2020-21 season. The two-time All-Star was traded by the Miami Heat to the Thunder this offseason. Oladipo appeared in 42 games for the Heat last season. He averaged 10.7 points, 3.0 rebounds and 3.5 assists off the bench while shooting 39.7% from the field, 33.0% from beyond the arc and 74.7% from the free-throw line.
The 31-year-old Oladipo suffered a torn patellar tendon in his left knee on April 22 against the Milwaukee Bucks. The Indiana product underwent surgery and missed the rest of the 2023 playoffs. The Heat made it all the way to the NBA Finals, where they lost to the Denver Nuggets in five games.
