Google announced that it will manufacture phones in India as part of the “Make in India” initiative, and it will start with the Pixel 8 series.
Google will partner with international and domestic manufacturers to produce Pixel smartphones locally and expects the devices to start rolling off the lines in 2024.
Both the Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro are on sale in India from October 12, priced at INR 75,999 and INR 106,999 respectively.
