Milltek Sport just launched an ear-tickling exhaust system designed specifically for Chevrolet’s C8 Corvette. The company, a leading performance exhaust manufacturer founded in 1983, recently captured video clips to deliver the sports car’s enhanced sounds to our ear drums.
The snarl of the Corvette Stingray’s naturally aspirated 6.2L LT2 V8 sounds extra potent with the addition of Milltek’s exhaust system. The company notes that the exhaust is crafted from T304L aircraft-grade stainless steel and is fully TIG welded throughout. As a direct plug-and-play product, the new exhaust works with the factory valve control system, meaning the sound output will vary depending on the driving mode.
Despite aiding in opening up more air flow, the company’s website does not disclose whether or not the exhaust system will add any extra horsepower. However, the system will help the C8 Corvette drop weight by about 39 lbs. when compared to the factory original exhaust. Customers can choose to have it fitted with tip finishes in polished stainless, Cerakote satin black, brushed titanium, burnt/blue titanium, or carbon fiber. Prices start at $3,471 not including the special finish options.
