The post-credits scene in Rick and Morty season 7, episode 3 brings back a gag from Justin Roiland’s time on the show, and this comeback works surprisingly well. In Rick and Morty’s first six seasons, the show’s co-creator Justin Roiland provided the voice of both its main characters. However, Rolland was charged with domestic battery and accused of inappropriate behavior in January 2023, leading Adult Swim to sever ties with the actor. Since then, Rick and Morty season 7 recast both of the show’s title characters with soundalike voice actors in new episodes of the series.
