Coach Jacque Vaughn’s call for a fast-break identity paid off as the Nets, missing key players, established a commanding 21-point lead through their swift transitions and maintained control.
The five-out lineup proved unstoppable, amassing 28 fast-break points, while injuries and losses challenged their resilience.
“That got us a good rhythm, a good lead, good momentum to start the game off,” Cam Thomas said.
