The NBA has fined the Philadelphia 76ers big man Joel Embiid $35K for “repeatedly making an obscene gesture on the playing court,” the league announced on Tuesday (Twitter link).
The incident took place in the latter part of the third quarter during Philadelphia’s home-opening victory against the Portland Trail Blazers on Tuesday.
The reigning MVP executed four consecutive crotch chops following a successful basket despite being fouled (Twitter video link via Rob Perez).
