Mahindra is gearing up to introduce the new XUV300 facelift in the coming weeks, with trials of the updated XUV300 in full swing on Indian roads. Several heavily camouflaged test mules of the Mahindra XUV300 facelift have already appeared online, with the most recent one highlighting one of the new features it will offer – revised headlamps.

A short video shared by “suvblogindia” on Instagram features a heavily camouflaged test mule of the Mahindra XUV300 facelift, revealing that the compact SUV will receive a fresh set of headlamps. The video provides a glimpse of the headlamps through the camouflage, showing that the new XUV300 will feature all-LED headlamps with C-shaped daytime running LEDs around them. These LEDs, resembling those on the larger Mahindra XUV700, also function as LED turn indicators.

Aside from this exterior highlight, not much of the new Mahindra XUV300 facelift is visible. However, a closer look at the test mule shows that the front grille maintains its trapezoidal shape, similar to the current version. It is likely that the grille will receive new inserts to give it a fresh look. The facelifted XUV300 will also come with a new design for the 16-inch machined alloy wheels and a set of LED taillamps, which can be partially seen through the camouflage in the video.

Updated cabin
The interior of the new Mahindra XUV300 facelift is not shown in this video. However, previous sightings of the test mule confirm that the XUV300 facelift will feature a new free-standing touchscreen infotainment system at the top of the center console. There will also be minor changes to the lower center console, which will continue to house buttons for the dual-zone automatic climate control and steering modes. Higher-spec variants of the SUV are likely to receive a new full-TFT instrument console, similar to the one found in the new Tata Nexon.
While the Mahindra XUV300 will undergo significant changes to its exterior and interior, the current powertrains will remain unchanged. The facelifted XUV300 will continue to offer the 1.2-liter three-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine (110 PS and 200 Nm) and the 1.5-liter four-cylinder diesel engine (115 PS and 300 Nm). A 6-speed manual transmission will be standard, although there are rumors that the current 6-speed AMT will be replaced by the Aisin-sourced 6-speed torque converter, which is already available in the Thar, Scorpio-N, and XUV700.
