One NBA writer is proposing that the Philadelphia 76ers acquire Zach LaVine from the Chicago Bulls.
Grant Hughes of Bleacher Report proposed the following trade idea between the Sixers and Bulls:
The Philadelphia 76ers receive Zach LaVine from the Chicago Bulls for Marcus Morris Sr., Nicolas Batum, Robert Covington, 2026 first-round pick (top-four-protected; least valuable of HOU, LAC, OKC), 2028 first-round pick (via LAC), 2029 first-round pick
The Sixers would like to use the assets they acquired from the Los Angeles Clippers in the James Harden trade to upgrade the roster. LaVine is one of the players Philadelphia president Daryl Morey is eyeing, league sources told NBA Analysis Network.

The Sixers could start Tyrese Maxey, LaVine, Kelly Oubre Jr., Tobias Harris and Joel Embiid if Philadelphia’s front office figured out a way to acquire LaVine from Chicago.
Several teams have checked in with the Bulls about LaVine‘s availability, according to NBA insider Jamal Collier of ESPN. However, no team has been willing to meet Chicago’s asking price for LaVine, who signed a five-year, $215.2 million contract in July 2022.
LaVine is averaging 22.5 points, 4.4 rebounds and 2.3 assists for the Bulls this season while shooting 41.5% from the field, 32.2% from beyond the arc and 86.7% from the free-throw line. The two-time All-Star scored a career-high 51 points against the Detroit Pistons on October 28.
The Sixers would undoubtedly become more explosive offensively if they acquired LaVine, who has career NBA averages of 20.5 points with the Minnesota Timberwolves and Bulls.
During an interview with NBA reporter Julia Poe of The Chicago Tribune, LaVine spoke about being in trade rumors every season.
“I’ve been traded before,” LaVine said. “Trades are just part of the business and guys get shuffled around every year. I’ve been in trade talks since I’ve been here for some reason. I feel like I’ve held up my end of the bargain in my commitment to the Bulls, but there’s not a lot you can do with rumors and people putting your name in trade talks.”
