Netflix has unveiled the first look teaser trailer for their highly anticipated live-action adaptation of the beloved animation series Avatar: The Last Airbender. Netflix has been adapting all of the world’s most popular anime series, including One Piece and Cowboy Bebop, and next up is Avatar. A live-action reimagining of the beloved animated series following Aang, the young Avatar, as he learns to master the four elements (Water, Earth, Fire, Air) to restore balance to a world threatened by the terrifying Fire Nation. The four nations once lived in harmony, with the Avatar, master of all four elements, keeping peace between them. The Last Airbender follows a young boy named Aang, as he reawakens to a world ravaged by war. Together with his friends Sokka & Katara, he embarks on an action-packed quest to take his rightful place as the next Avatar. The original creators Michael Dante DiMartino & Bryan Konietzko are only back as writers.
