“We’re searching for soldiers for a fight against the Motherworld.” Netflix has revealed the main official trailer for Zack Snyder’s Rebel Moon – Part One: A Child of Fire, the first half of his epic new sci-fi project for the streaming studio. The movie is being split into two parts, with this first half “A Child of Fire” arriving December (showing in 70mm in 4 theaters only) and the next in April just a few months later. Rebel Moon is an original Zack Snyder creation, a gigantic Star Wars-esque sci-fi adventure about a ragtag team of rebels. In a universe controlled by a corrupt militaristic government, the moon of Veldt is threatened by the forces of the Imperium, the army of the Mother World controlled by “Regent Balisarius”. Sofia Boutella stars as Kora, a former member of the Imperium who rallies warriors from across the galaxy to fight back. Featuring an ensemble cast with Djimon Hounsou, Ed Skrein, Charlie Hunnam, Michiel Huisman, Doona Bae, Ray Fisher, Cleopatra Coleman, Jena Malone, Fra Fee, Staz Nair, and also Anthony Hopkins as the voice of “Jimmy” (the robot guy in here).
