Bending rectangular tubing requires some special bending equipment, but even with that there is a “hard way” and an “easy way”. The hard way refers to bending it along the long side of the rectangle vs the short side which is easier. So if you think about a 2×4 frame rail standing on it’s short side, then bending the frame rail in and out is the easy way, and up and down is the hard way. This video from Cornfield Customs will show you just how this process is done.
If you haven’t seen it done before, the process is kind of cool and if you are building a custom chassis, there is nothing cooler looking than a fully bent tubing frame rail.
