Even before the official launch of the Rolls Royce Spectre in India, a few days ago, we saw the car being delivered to India. The super luxurious Rolls Royce Spectre was delivered to a Chennai-based infrastructure builder Baashyaam Yuvaraj of Baashyaam Constructions.
The Rolls Royce Spectre is the first electric vehicle from the British Luxury brand and costs about Rs 9 crore, ex-showroom, which can come out to be around Rs 10.5 crore, 0n-road.

The Rolls-Royce Spectre can be considered a spiritual successor to the Phantom, showcasing a design that stays true to the Rolls-Royce tradition while incorporating specific elements for its electric vehicle (EV) nature. One notable feature is the illuminated trademark Rolls-Royce grille, which adds a delightful ambiance during nighttime. The iconic Spirit of Ecstasy ornament is designed with aerodynamics in mind, as the Spectre achieves a drag coefficient of 0.25cd. Another unique aspect is the incorporation of 23-inch wheels, a first for any Rolls-Royce two-door coupe. The rear profile of the Spectre is adorned with elegantly simple vertical taillight elements.
The Spectre has also been given a more refined and streamlined Spirit of Ecstasy figure, complemented by all-LED headlights with DRLs. The side profile boasts 23-inch alloy wheels, a first from any Rolls-Royce factory model. As for the rear design, it closely resembles that of the Wraith, flaunting a sleeker and sharper slanted roof design with simple yet stylish LED taillights.
The distinguished starlight liner, originally unique to the roof of Rolls-Royce vehicles, has now been extended to the door pads of the Spectre. It also offers the option of customization with wood panelling. Adding a touch of elegance, the passenger side dashboard panel is illuminated with the ‘Spectre’ nameplate and becomes completely invisible when the car is not in use.
In terms of features, the Spectre is equipped with a fully digital driver’s display featuring Rolls-Royce’s new ‘Spirit’ software platform. This platform supports connected car technology and manages most of the car’s functions. Passengers are greeted by a digital display capable of showcasing digitized art or a welcome animation, customizable by the owner.
The electric powertrain of the Spectre generates an impressive 593PS and 900Nm, providing a WLTP-claimed range of 520km. Despite its weight of nearly 3 tonnes, it achieves an impressive 0-100kmph acceleration time of only 4.5 seconds.
