For those who didn’t receive an invitation to the Tesla Cybertruck Delivery Event on November 30th, there’s a new opportunity to get an up-close look. The automaker is showcasing the all-electric pickup at various showrooms across the country in anticipation of the presentation. Despite being only 10 days away from its highly anticipated release, Tesla has yet to confirm several key details about the truck.
Over the weekend the Cybertruck started popping up at Tesla showrooms in California. Just over a week ago, one sat outside the showroom in San Jose. Then, one fan shot a short video of the truck at the Westfield UTC Mall in San Diego. Now, more reports suggest that other Cybertrucks could be headed to a showroom near you.

What’s clear for now is that these showroom trucks come with little more than some partitioning to keep people from getting too close. Nowhere do we see documentation about the truck itself. This might be the only time in history that a car was so close to deliveries, also sitting in various showrooms, and yet had so many questions surrounding it.
Originally, CEO Elon Musk touted a number of interesting figures about the truck at its debut in 2019. Now, things are far more murky. Tesla hasn’t announced pricing yet, though it appears that the $40,000 entry-level version isn’t happening – which shouldn’t come to as much of a surprise, particularly after Ford’s F-150 Lightning, which initially launched at $40,000, now starts at $50,000.
It also hasn’t talked about powertrains though some details have leaked due to official documents. Power figures, range estimates, and battery sizing are all still up for conjecture too.
Thankfully, we’re only a little over a week away from learning a lot more. The question then will be if the Cybertruck lives up to whatever claims come with it on November 30th.
