Most of the men are dying of a horrible disease. The shogun becomes a women and her harem is a harem of men.
This is such a fucking weird premise, hence why I loved it. It can get extremely dark and I loved how seriously it takes its premise. It has this spectacular chain where it always takes the side of the oppressed, but as time goes on the previous oppressor becomes the oppressed and you side with them as well.
The whole romance between the two main characters is so beautiful…. (and so miserable, you all know what I like best)
My one complaint is, I feel like it was too concerned with explaining the details of the world and the politics. Could have been a little more vague here and focused more on the main characters. I think the structure of the initial episode set in the future did not help here. Although I did enjoy the first episode too.
