The pictures of this bespoke Jawa 42 bobber, specially handcrafted for MS Dhoni, have been shared on Instagram by Bombay Custom Works on their official page. The company has shared a few pictures of MS Dhoni sitting on the bike, and it also shows a number of unique touches added by them. One of the pictures shows a unique plaque that says the name of the bike, “Skipper.” It also states, “Designed and built in Bombay by Bombay Custom Works. Handmade 2023.”
Unique Touches on This Bike
Bombay Custom Works has given MS Dhoni’s Jawa Bobber 42 a very distinct and classy shade of dark green. This color looks like a very deep bottle green color with metallic flakes in it. Apart from this color, the bike has also been given custom gold pinstriping on the edges of the fenders, fuel tank, and air filter covers. One of the main highlights of this custom project is the gold-painted MS Dhoni’s 2011 World Cup-winning six-shot on the air filter cover next to a “Custom Made” badge.
As for the fabrication changes on this custom Jawa 42 bobber created for MS Dhoni, we can note that the front and rear fenders of this bike have been shortened. The ones on the stock Jawa 42 bobber are elongated. Apart from this, on the rear fenders, a gold-painted 7 representing Dhoni’s jersey number has also been added to the brake light. Lastly, the bike has been given a custom leather seat, and a golden metal garnish has been added underneath the custom yellow headlights with 42 written on it.
Dhoni Has Been Gifted This Jawa 42 Bobber
When the first pictures of Dhoni with this custom Jawa 42 bobber surfaced, it was believed that he bought this bike for himself. However, it has now been noted that this bike was actually a gift to the legendary cricketer. This bike was gifted to him by Skipper PVC Pipes company and its owners. This could be one of the reasons for this bike’s name to be Skipper. Bombay Custom Works, in their Instagram post, tagged Skipper pipes and officials from Jawa Motorcycles.
Jawa 42 Bobber
The Jawa 42 Bobber is one of the most popular bikes from the brand and comes powered by a 334 cc single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine. It makes a maximum power of 29.5 bhp and 32.74 Nm peak torque. It comes with a 6-speed gearbox. The bike also comes equipped with 35 mm telescopic front forks and a gas-filled monoshock at the rear with a 7-step adjustable preload. It also gets a 280 mm front single disc and a 240 mm disc at the rear for braking performance, along with dual-channel ABS as standard. As for the retro-spoke wheels, the bike comes with 100/90 18-inch front wheels and 140/70 17-inch rear wheels.
MS Dhoni is a Massive Bike Collector
Apart from his love for cricket, Dhoni is known across the country for his deep-rooted passion for motorcycles and cars as well. At his mansion in Ranchi, the cricketer has a separate garage built to store all of his vintage and modern motorcycles and cars. A glimpse of his bike collection was shared online by Venkatesh Prasad on X (formerly Twitter). In the video, Dhoni can be seen along with his friends inside his bike collection.

Some of the bikes in his collection include two-stroke motorcycles from brands like Yamaha, Yezdi, Jawa, BSA, and Norton. He also owns some limited-edition two-stroke motorcycles from BMW, along with older-generation motorcycles from recent decades, like Yamaha RD350 and Royal Enfield Bullet. Some newer bikes from his collection include Kawasaki Ninja ZX-14R, Kawasaki Ninja H2, Harley Davidson Fat Boy, Ducati 1098, and the exclusive Confederate X132 Hellcat.
