Peacock has released a new trailer for the second season of their true crime anthology series, Dr. Death, starring Edgar Ramírez (Gold, The Undoing) and Mandy Moore (This is Us), as well as Luke Kirby (The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel), Ashley Madekwe, and Gustaf Hammarsten.
The second season synopsis reads:
“This season of Dr. Death, based on the Wondery podcast, follows ‘Miracle Man’ Paolo Macchiarini, a charming surgeon renowned for his innovative operations. When investigative journalist Benita Alexander approaches him for a story, the line between personal and professional begins to blur, changing her life forever. As she learns how far Paolo will go to protect his secrets, a group of doctors halfway across the world make shocking discoveries of their own that call everything about Paolo into question.”
This looks like such a wild gutpunch of a story, just like Season 1. It’s just so upsetting to know that there are doctors who have taken people’s lives in their hands, only to hurt, maim and kill the people they are sworn to heal and protect.
