Warner Bros has unveiled the first look teaser trailer for Furiosa, George Miller’s highly anticipated follow-up to the sensational action classic Mad Max: Fury Road (from 2015). This trailer launched at the CCXP comics expo event happening in Brazil this week, with appearances from Miller & the cast there. This action prequel tells the origin story of the renegade warrior Furiosa before she teamed up with Mad Max. It was shot again in Australia in 2022, and is being readied for a release in May 2024 to kick off next year’s summer movie season. Anya Taylor-Joy stars as a younger Imperator Furiosa, the same Furiosa in Mad Max: Fury Road.
