“Witness the rise of a new empire.” “This world has more secrets then we could possibly imagine.” Warner Bros and Legendary have unveiled the first official trailer for Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire, once again directed by filmmaker Adam Wingard. Another exciting preview from the CCXP comics expo in Brazil. It’s a sequel to 2021’s Godzilla vs. Kong, which opened during the pandemic but was still one of WB’s big hits that year. This next one is set to open in theaters everywhere starting in April 2024. The plot for this next one involves the two mega monsters Godzilla and King Kong having to team up to take on a “colossal undiscovered threat hidden within our world” – which seems to be some kind of massive chimpanzee. GxK also delves further into the histories of these Titans and their origins, as well as the mysteries of Skull Island and beyond, while spending more time exploring the Hollow Earth realm where Kong is from.
