Bollywood actor Shahid Kapoor has added a second Maybach to his garage. The actor and his wife Mira Kapoor received the new Mercedes-Maybach GLS600 SUV at their home in Mumbai. The new SUV finished in emerald green has also got the “0700” VIP registration number.
Kapoor was also spotted driving the new SUV at night on the streets of Mumbai. The Mercedes-Maybach GLS600 is an exclusive offering with only one variant available in the Indian market. Due to its popularity, all the units allocated to the country have already been sold out, making it unavailable for purchase until the end of this year.
This luxurious SUV embodies the distinctive Maybach design elements, exemplified by its imposing grille adorned with chrome accents. Additional touches include chrome inserts on the B-Pillar and the presence of the Maybach logo on the D-pillar.
Inside the GLS 600, buyers have the option to choose between a four-seater or a five-seater configuration. The four-seater version boasts a fixed center console featuring a refrigerated compartment specifically designed to store champagne bottles. The console also includes silver champagne flutes, adding an extra touch of elegance. Furthermore, the interior is adorned with Nappa leather upholstery, and notable features include an electronic panoramic sliding sunroof, ventilated massaging seats, and more. It remains unknown which version Ranveer opted for.
When it comes to safety features, the GLS600 does not disappoint. It offers a comprehensive range of advanced safety technologies, including Active Distance Assist DISTRONIC, Active Lane Keeping Assist, Active Blind Spot Assist, Active Brake Assist, Active Steering Assist, and more. The vehicle also incorporates Adaptive High Beam Assist, Adaptive LED tail lamps, eight airbags, a Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS), a Parking Package with a 360-degree camera, an electronic traffic control system, downhill speed regulation, an off-road driving mode, the PRE-SAFE system, carwash mode, attention assist, ABS, EBD, and safety vests for both the driver and passenger.

Last year, the couple also bought a Mercedes-Maybach sedan. They bought the Maybach S580 in white shade.
The limousine rides on massive 19-inch Maybach forged alloy wheels. It gets the retro monoblock design. The tyres are optimised for noise that assures a silent cabin. Mercedes-Maybach also gives an option to increase the size of the wheels to 20 or even 21 inches. The feature list includes a multi-contour seat massager, heated armrests, door panels, seat ventilation, and a calf massager for the rear seat passengers. There is an option of executive seating that adds wooden trims, a full-length centre console and deployable trays. The executive package also adds a champagne cooler and custom solid metal flutes.
The new Mercedes-Maybach S580 gets the 4.0-litre V8 twin-turbocharged engine with the EQ Boost of 48 volts. It is a mild-hybrid system. Together, it develops a massive 496 Bhp and a peak torque of 700 Nm. There is a four-wheel-drive system and a 9-speed automatic transmission. Shahid Kapoor also owns a slew of high-end cars including a Mercedes-Benz GL-Class.
Mercedes-Maybach remains one of the first choices of many Bollywood celebrities in India. There are multiple GLS and Mayabch S-Class owners. In fact, couples like Deepika and Ranveer own two separate Maybach GLS SUVs for their own personal use. We are not sure if Shahid Kapoor will sell the Maybach S-Class sedan but highly likely he will continue using both the vehicles.
