Here’s a trailer for a conspiracy action thriller called The Bricklayer, which stars Aaron Eckhart as an elite CIA agent who is pulled out of retirement to unravel the international conspiracy. The movie comes from director Renny Harlin, the director of Die Hard 2, Cliffhanger, The Long Kiss Goodnight, and Deep Blue Sea. The movie is described as a “riveting adventure through the realms of espionage and intrigue, promises to captivate audiences from start to finish.”
The Bricklayer follows “a rogue insurgent blackmailing the CIA by assassinating foreign journalists and making it appear the agency is responsible. As other nations begin turning against the U.S., the CIA must lure Steve Vail (Aaron Eckhart) – their most brilliant and rebellious operative – out of retirement. With an elite and deadly skill set, Vail is tasked with helping clear the agency’s name, forcing him to confront his checkered past while unraveling an international conspiracy.”
The movie also stars Nina Dobrev, Clifton Collins Jr., Tim Blake Nelson, and Ilfenesh Hadera. Vertical will release The Bricklayer in select theaters and on VOD starting on January 5th, 2024.
