Iconic pirate manga One Piece is getting an anime remake by WIT Studio!
Titled The One Piece, the series will start from the very beginning with the East Blue arc. While a release date hasn’t been revealed, it will be available to stream on Netflix.
WIT Studio is known for adaptations like Attack on Titan (Seasons 1-3), Spy x Family, and The Ancient Magus’ Bride.
Originally a phenomenally popular manga by Eiichiro Oda, One Piece follows the adventures of aspiring pirate Monkey D. Luffy and his crew, the Straw Hat Pirates, as he pursues his lifelong dream of becoming the King of Pirates.
The long-running anime adaptation by Toei Animation began in 1999 and is set to air its 21st season from January 2024.
A live action series by Netflix was also released in August 2023, starring Iñaki Godoy as Monkey D. Luffy, Mackenyu Arata as Roronoa Zoro, Emily Rudd as Nami, and more.
