Anand Mahindra shared the picture with a caption, “I suppose it’s only natural that a star who’s burning hot on the pop charts now would choose a set of equally hot wheels for her Indian getaway…”
The picture shows the older-generation of the Mahindra Thar. The SUV has been modified for the jungle safari. This was most likely a picture opportunity and none of the family members did not actually drive the vehicle. This is an older-generation of Mahindra Thar that is widely used for jungle safaris across India.

The Mahindra Thar was a name that most off-road enthusiasts worshipped. The direct injection version of the Thar had been around since 2010 and was still going strong. The DI version of Thar was essentially a Mahindra MM540 that made its debut way back in 1985, and the shape remained unchanged ever since. However, the DI engine was not available in BS4 spec. Therefore, the Thar DI was only available in towns that hadn’t yet adopted BS4 norms. The 2,523 cc turbo diesel engine was available with both 2WD and 4WD options and generated a maximum of 63 BHP.
In 2020, Mahindra launched the all-new Thar, which became a success in the Indian market. The all-new Thar came powered by a 2.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine that generated a maximum power of 150 Bhp and peak torque of 320 Nm. Additionally, the 2.2-litre diesel engines offered a maximum of 130 PS and peak torque of 320 Nm. Both engine options were available with manual as well as automatic transmission choices. The 4X2 variant of the new Thar offered the same 2.0-litre engine as the 4X4 variant and also introduced a 1.5-litre diesel variant. However, there was a long waiting period for the Mahindra Thar, which could last for months depending on the variant.
The family also shared a picture from their safari. They used a Maruti Suzuki Gypsy in it. The Lipa family also got a ride in a vintage car on their way to Umaid Bhavan in Jodhpur, Rajasthan. In fact, one of have shared a picture from an autorickshaw in Delhi.
Dua Lipa has an amazing collection of cars in her garage that includes sports, luxury, and high-performance cars. In her collection, we can find an electric supercar called the Jaguar I-Pace. This car has two electric motors and has an All-Wheel-Drive facility. With these features, the car can produce a combined power of 394 horsepower and a torque of 512 pound-feet.
Apart from this, she has other cars like MINI Cooper, Jaguar F-Type, BMW 5-Series, Audi A6, BMW M4, Porsche 911, Land Rover Range Rover Sport, and Porsche Taycan.
