Bronny’s USC Trojans faced the Arizona Wildcats in Tucson, Arizona, in a nationally televised ESPN contest. Early in the second half, the 19-year-old was poised to drive straight to the basket. However, right inside midcourt, he was called for a double dribble.
Bronny was stunned by the call, as was his father, who responded in horror on social media. LeBron posted a video of the controversial play on his Instagram stories, captioned “Man, What!”

Bronny James has impressed at USC, despite worries about his playing career and if he will ever be able to play again. After elevating his game in recent years, James’ draft value has continued to increase.
The Trojans, who were missing starters Boogie Ellis and Isaiah Collier due to injuries, trimmed Arizona’s 19-9 lead early in the game to a four-point deficit (38-34) after Kobe Johnson’s 3-pointer late in the first half. But Caleb Love (20 points) and Arizona pushed ahead again, leading by double digits for the majority of the second half.
The Trojans are 3-7 in his ten games, making them one of the nation’s most disappointing teams. The addition of James to a squad that had made the NCAA tournament the previous three seasons raised expectations, but the Big Dance now appears to be a tough shot.
Perhaps James can help them turn things around as he plays more minutes, but he can at least be certain that the NBA is impressed with what he’s shown recently.
