Chinese electric vehicle startup Hozon is expanding its lineup with a new station wagon model that will soon join the existing Nezha S sedan. This station wagon is set to introduce cutting-edge hardware and software enhancements when it launches in mid-2024.
The announcement was made by Nezha CEO, Zhang Yong, who shared a single teaser shot of a camouflaged prototype. The model is codenamed EP41 and appears to have common styling features and shared body panels with the Nezha S that debuted in 2022. More specifically, the front end up to the B-pillars looks identical, while the redesigned tail of the EP41 is reminiscent of the VW Arteon Shooting Brake.
The company didn’t provide any technical specifications, but it’s reasonable to assume that the EP41 will have a similar footprint to the Nezha S, which competes with the Tesla Model 3 and measures 4,800 mm (188.9 inches) in length.

An interesting aspect of the new model is that the wagon will introduce the version 2.0 of the company’s “Shanhai” modular architecture, incorporating several improvements compared to the underpinnings of its sedan sibling. It remains unclear whether the EP41 will feature the same EV and EREV powertrains available in the Nezha S that tops out at 456 hp (340 kW). In terms of safety, the EP41 will be equipped with the Hesai AT128 LiDAR mounted on its roof, aimed at enhancing the self-driving capabilities of the Nezha Pilot ADAS system.

Nezha’s CEO has confirmed that the new EV will make its debut in April 2024 at the Beijing Auto Show in China, with the first deliveries expected in mid-2024. While pricing details are yet to be disclosed, Chinese media speculates that the station wagon may have a starting price below the ¥300,000 ($42,350) mark.
The automaker’s current lineup in the Chinese market comprises the Aya and X SUVs, the GT sports car, and the S sedan. In the near future, they will be joined by the L crossover and the production version of the EP41 station wagon. Nezha has ambitious plans to expand globally, aiming to enter 50 global markets and export over 100,000 units before the end of 2024.
