Last week, we gave you a behind-the-scenes look at Mexico’s forthcoming away kit ahead of Copa America 2024. Now, we can show you a glimpse of the Adidas Mexico home kit. And this one is also a beauty.
Mexico’s 2024 Copa America home kit deviates from the country’s standard green color and opts for a more historic look. That’s right, the pre-1960 Mexican teams wore mostly burgundy-colored uniforms.

Even more eye-popping on El Tri’s new Copa America kits are the ubiquitous peacock feathers that shroud the front of the kit and its shoulders.
Adidas weaves a thread connecting the present to these historical and mystical Mexican and Mayan roots by incorporating bird’s plumage into the kit. The distinctive ‘eye’ patterns mark these feathers, showcasing mainly emerald and jade green hues.
Meanwhile, the updated Eagle crest, logos, and Adidas stripes appear to take on a yellow color.
Adidas plans to launch the kit at retail this March. What are your thoughts on the new kit — should Mexico’s home kit always be green?
Note that Mexico wore a black Adidas base design for home games during the 2015 Copa America, so this maroon kit shouldn’t be all that surprising.
