I’ve built plenty of welding tables and workbenches and every single time I do, they get better. Each time you build one, or see one in someone else’s shop, it gives you ideas for how to make yours even better. In this video below, the Kelley Family YouTube Channel has got a cool one that is going together and I dig it. There are plenty of special features and cool ideas going on with this one and it is inspiring as hell. I hope you folks look at it and think the same thing, because I know I’m going to take some notes from this one when I build the next one in the new shop.
A couple of things you’ll find that are worth mentioning on this build are the removable seat which is a great idea, plus the receiver style mounts for the grinder, vice, etc. I have incorporated this into several of my own and can tell you that these receivers are the best way to gain a lot of flexibility in where you put each tool.
