Maruti Suzuki is embarking on a significant overhaul in the Indian automotive landscape with the upcoming new generation Swift and Dzire. Automotive enthusiast Jain Deepak managed to capture the initial spy shots of the new Maruti Dzire, revealing a glimpse of what enthusiasts can anticipate from this upcoming model. The new Dzire is poised to share its platform with the already globally debuted Swift and will offer identical engine options.
The exterior design of the 2024 Maruti Dzire draws inspiration from the fourth-generation Swift, showcasing a significant departure in its styling. The distinctive large grille, adorned with the Suzuki logo now proudly placed outside, gives the Dzire a bold and muscular appearance. The clamshell bonnet further adds to the robust aesthetic, setting it apart from its predecessor.
The lower bumper design contributes to the Dzire’s sporty appeal, with aggressive cuts and creases enhancing its overall dynamic look. While sharing a familiar front fascia with the Swift, the side profile brings forward notable differences, with the Dzire featuring new pillars, front and rear doors, and windows. A chrome lining along the window line adds sophistication to the overall aesthetics.
Moving towards the rear, the new Dzire maintains a connection with its current version while introducing refreshing elements. A redesigned rear bumper complements the overall aesthetic changes, offering a revitalized appearance. Inside the cabin, the Dzire mirrors the features and attributes of the fourth-gen Swift.
The dashboard remains largely consistent, with a significant transformation in the central area. Notable upgrades include new center AC vents, a larger 9-inch infotainment screen, and a toggle-style automatic climate control panel borrowed from larger Maruti models, elevating the interior experience.
Under the hood, the new Maruti Dzire will share its powertrain with the Swift, featuring a 1.2L 3-cylinder Z-series naturally aspirated petrol engine. Despite a slight decrease in performance metrics compared to the existing K-Series 4-cylinder engine, the new powertrain promises a balance between performance and impressive fuel efficiency, boasting up to 24.5 km/l.
