“Tune in, freak out.” IFC Films has uneveiled the first short teaser trailer for acclaimed indie horror thriller Late Night with the Devil, made by the Australian filmmakers Cameron & Colin Cairnes. This originally premiered at last year’s SXSW Film Festival, playing at tons of other festivals around the world last year. A live television broadcast back in 1977 goes horribly wrong, unleashing evil into the nation’s living rooms. Presented in a found footage style. Set in the 1970s, the film follows charismatic late-night host Jack Delroy (portrayed by the great iconoclast David Dastmalchian), who, in an effort to boost the ratings of his once hugely popular “Night Owls”, has invited an eerie tableau of guests for his Hail Mary of an occult-focused Halloween broadcast. IFC has this film set to open in March, so keep an eye out for it soon. Dastmalchian stars as the host, joined by Laura Gordon, Ingrid Torelli, Ian Bliss, Fayssal Bazzi, and Rhys Auteri. All the early buzz is that this film is fantastic, another unique new horror cinema concept to enjoy in 2024. // Continue Reading ›
