The original Life is Strange (Free) from DON’T NOD and Life is Strange: Before the Storm (Free) from Deck Nine Games and Square Enix are both superb. The original game is one of the best adventure games out there, and I enjoy revisiting it every few years through ports and also its recent remaster. While I have enjoyed the newer games in the series, I still think the original and Before the Storm are the best by far. A few hours ago, Square Enix updated both of them on mobile to add support for modern iOS versions and devices. The updates also removed whatever social integration was included in the apps. I tested both on my iPhone 15 Pro and they support the full screen well. Hella surprising. Watch the trailer for the original game’s mobile launch below:
Both games are free to download with in app purchases for unlocking the other episodes or the complete experience in a bundle. This still ends up costing less than the PC and console versions. I’m curious if the remasters will make their way to mobile later, but right now the originals are awesome on mobile.
