The 2023 IWBF Americas Parapan Am Games Qualification Tournament will take place in Lima, Peru between 5 July – 9 July 2023.
IWBF Americas Secretary General, Maureen Orchard, has announced that the teams competing in the women’s division are Argentina, Bolivia, Colombia, and Peru. These four teams will be playing for one of three spots at the 2023 Parapan American Games being held in Santiago, Chile in November.
In the men’s division Colombia, El Salvador, Peru and Venezuela will play off for one of two spots in the Parapan Games in Santiago, Chile.
The championship is being hosted by Federacion Deportiva Nacional De Personas Con Discapacidad Fisica – FEDENADIF.
FEDENADIF President, Reymundo Delgado Villafana said:
“On behalf of FEDENADIF, we are pleased to be able to host this important tournament. We look forward to welcoming all the teams to Lima. It will be an exciting chance for them to earn a spot to Santiago 2023 Parapan America Games.”
The games on Wednesday will start at 13:00 featuring El Salvador playing Venezuela (men) followed by Argentina versus Bolivia (women) at 15:00.
Opening ceremonies will take place at 17:00 with host country Peru women against Colombia at 18:00 and the final game at 20:00 featuring host Peru against Colombia in the men’s competition.
All the games will be held at the national training center the VIDENA.
Results will be published on the IWBF website.
