Following the recent update announcement, Afterburn Games has released the huge Railbound ($4.99) birthday update for free bringing in a lot of new content and features. If you haven’t played it yet, Railbound is a fantastic puzzle game about placing track pieces in the the correct places. We featured it as our Game of the Week when it launched. Apple chose it as an Apple Design Award winner as well during WWDC. Today’s new birthday update brings in two new regions, 40 extra puzzles, a brand-new gameplay mechanic (two locomotives), cloud saves on mobile and more. Watch the Railbound 3.0 update trailer below:
The update is rolling out now, and it is live on iOS with the two locomotives mechanic where you try and route two different sets of cars and the long-awaited cloud save support on mobile. The update should be live on iOS, Android, and PC today with Switch getting the update later. We don’t usually see such big updates for premium games like this, so it is good to see Afterburn add more to an excellent puzzler.
