Ricky Rubio couldn’t make it to the Cleveland Cavaliers’ NBA Preseason Media Day this Monday as he’s prioritizing his mental well-being.
After taking a break from his pro basketball journey in the offseason, which led to him not playing for Spain in the 2023 FIBA World Cup, his time away now extends to the official start of the Cavs’ training camp for the upcoming 2023-24 Regular Season.
“We remain fully supportive of Ricky and his efforts, which for now are best continued away from the team and have excused his absence from camp,” noted the team.
