Napoli have released a new special edition Halloween kit nicknamed “Skulls of Naples.” And it’s spooktacular.

The black colorway nods to local history by incorporating the skulls symbolic of Fontanelle Cemetery. The ex-ossuary served as a burial ground for the thousands of plague victims who perished in Naples in 1656.
The 3,000-square-foot cemetery symbolizes a tangible representation of purgatory on Earth since some believed souls not buried in their church’s sacred ground couldn’t ascend to heaven.
Seriousness aside, the location — a quick departure from the busy streets of Naples — is now the inspiration for the team’s Halloween football kit.
The ubiquitous skull print kit is just another collector’s item to add to Napoli’s ace 23/24 home and away jersey releases this year. In September, the Serie A winners also released a stunning 23/24 Champions League away kit.
Incorporating the skull pattern, EA 7 (Emporio Armani sports brand) also made sure to add other fine details such as the blue trim and silver metallic that round out the Napoli logo.
The fact that it comes in a special edition box with skulls and the Italia flag adds to the mystery. I got mine at the Napoli online store but you can also find it on eBay, the latter who sponsors the club.
