Anthony Davis, the 8-time NBA All-Star and defensive powerhouse for the Los Angeles Lakers, has expressed his feelings about missing out on several Defensive Player of the Year (DPOY) awards throughout his illustrious career.
Despite his dominant defensive performances, Davis has yet to secure the coveted DPOY title. His closest attempt came during the 2019-20 season when he was the runner-up.
In a recent interview, Davis voiced his thoughts on the matter, saying, “Of course, I feel like I got cheated out of a couple of defensive awards.”
However, he quickly emphasized that his primary focus is on team success and winning championships.
