Danvers first appeared as a supporting character in 1967's Marvel Super-Heroes #13 by Roy Thomas and Gene Golan. Yet, it was in 1977's Ms. Marvel #1 by Gerry Conway and John Buscema that Carol truly took the spotlight. As Ms. Marvel, she demonstrated incredible strength, flight, and energy absorption abilities, paving the way for her eventual transformation into Captain Marvel.
