After putting on a great show at Auto Expo 2023 earlier this year, Tata Motors is back in action with the launch of the upcoming Nexon facelift this month. As promised by Tata Motors, there’s much more in store over the next 12 months, and we have some insider information revealing the updated product lineup coming from the brand. Here are the six new cars from Tata Motors that will hit the Indian car market in the next 12 months.
Tata Punch EV
The new Tata Punch EV has been spotted on trial runs, indicating it’s production-ready. It’s set to debut in the first half of October 2023, positioned between the Tiago EV and Nexon EV. The Punch EV might share the 30.2 kWh battery pack with the Nexon EV Medium Range, equipped with a 127 PS electric motor driving the front wheels. Entry-level variants may feature the 24 kWh battery pack from the Tiago EV for a more budget-friendly starting point.
Tata Harrier Facelift
The Harrier facelift, inspired by the Harrier EV concept showcased at Auto Expo 2023, will be launched during October 2023. The facelifted Harrier will feature a reworked front profile with new split headlamps, tweaked tail lamps with an LED connecting bar, and a revamped interior with new features. Alongside the 2.0-litre 170 PS diesel engine, it may also offer a new 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine option showcased at Auto Expo 2023.
Tata Safari Facelift
Similar to the Harrier, Tata Motors will update the seven-seater Safari during October 2023. It will feature the same reworked front fascia as the Harrier, with distinctive rear tail lamps and connecting LED bars. The interior layout and features will be similar to the refreshed Harrier, with engine options including the 2.0-litre 170 PS diesel engine and a potential 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine.
Tata Altroz EV
The Altroz EV, first showcased at Auto Expo 2023, is confirmed to launch in the first quarter of 2024. It will feature EV-specific blue highlights and share its platform with its ICE counterpart. The powertrain lineup may include options from the Punch EV, such as the 24 kWh battery pack from the Tiago EV or the 30.2 kWh battery from the Nexon EV Medium Range.
Tata Harrier EV
Tata Motors will also launch the Harrier EV, inspired by the concept showcased at Auto Expo 2023. It may feature a closed grille and a connecting LED DRL at the front, similar to the new Nexon EV. While specific technical specifications weren’t disclosed at the Auto Expo, the electric SUV is expected to have a 60-65 kWh battery pack with a range of 450-500 km.
Tata Curvv
Tata Motors highlighted the Curvv concept at Auto Expo 2023, a midsize SUV between Nexon and Harrier. Petrol, diesel, and all-electric versions of the Curvv concept are on track for India’s festive season in 2024, albeit with a new name at launch.
