Assassin's Creed Mirage may take place in 9th century Baghdad, but there's an Easter egg that will likely remind longtime fans of Ezio Auditore, the famed assassin who lived roughly 800 years later during the Italian Renaissance. During Basim's story in Mirage, the Brotherhood of Assassins has yet to be established, still known as its precursor organization, the Hidden Ones. The Hidden Ones would become the Assassins in the following centuries, giving them a shared history, and through this Mirage has hinted at the origins of an iconic weapon best associated with Ezio.
