India ranks near the top on the list of countries with the highest number of road accidents. Reportedly, last year in 2022, road accidents in India claimed the lives of 1,55,622 people. One of the main reasons for this is overspeeding and disobedience of traffic rules. However, it is not always the case, and sometimes accidents happen because of the fault of others. In this recent shivering accident reported from Madhya Pradesh, a family was involved in a horrific accident because the brakes on the truck behind them failed. Thankfully, all of them were saved in time, and even the MLA from the area arrived to help them.
The horrifying accident of XUV700
The video describing what happened with the particular Mahindra XUV700 has been shared on YouTube by Prateek Singh on their channel. It mentions that a family was traveling from Indore, and when it reached the infamous Ganpati Ghat, what happened next was that this XUV700 SUV was hit by an uncontrolled truck from the rear end. The impact was so strong that this truck rammed the SUV into the rear end of another truck, which was in front of the SUV.
As per the video, initial reports stated that the accident was caused because the rear truck had a brake failure. It was also reported that the truck into which the Mahindra XUV700 rammed into already had a crash earlier that morning. Surprisingly enough, the reason for that accident was also reported to be caused by a brake failure. The video mentioned that this particular truck crashed into an old tanker in the morning and was standing at the same spot since the morning.

Coming to the damages incurred by the Mahindra XUV700, it can be noted from that video that it was completely mangled up. The entire front portion of the SUV got crushed, and so did the left side pillars of the SUV. The roof of the XUV700 also retracted backwards, and the rear end was also completely crushed by the impact from the uncontrolled truck. Thankfully, all of the passengers of the XUV700 were alive because all the airbags opened in time and protected them. The family members were then taken to a nearby hospital in time after their rescue.
MLA helped in the rescue
Speaking of the rescue, it was reported that the family members were stuck inside the XUV700 for around 1-2 hours. It was stated that many locals came to the rescue of the family, and after many efforts, they were successful. The video also mentioned that Congress MLA from Dharampuri, Madhya Pradesh, Panchilal Meda, was also present at the spot, and he himself climbed onto the vehicle to help in the rescue of the family members inside the SUV.
